Tiger 21 - Art by River Han printed on Bamboo Fine Art Paper
White Tiger enjoying a dip in the water, Chinese Brush Painting and Calligraphy by River Han printed on Giclée Hahnemühle Bamboo.
This is a scene inspired during my visit to Chimelong Safari Park in Panyu, China. The white tiger is a pigmentation variant of the Bengal tiger, which is reported in the wild from time to time in India. At Chimelong Safari Park, they have raised hundreds of white tigers in a semi-natural environment and is a really amazing sight to see.
The calligraphy for the poem was written in semi-cursive script style (行書). I am including the typed Chinese characters in the calligraphy for reference.
暢游深潭𥚃
浮爪水上騎
不惧蛟龍住
自傲不可欺
甲午仲秋
相子畫虎
Below is my translation:
Immerse in the deep pond
Enjoy floating and swimming among waves
Have no fear where the monster serpent resides
I am the proud owner of wherever I am and would not be bullied
Created in mid-autumn of 2014
